Teachers and students can use technology and social media to communicate with each other. Teachers can extend their lessons through any social media such as Facebook, blogs, or websites.

  1. Embracing social media and using it for your learning advantage is a great way to extend what you do in the face-to-face classroom. It is a tough issue to deal with at the district level, however - many school districts have banned the use of open and popular social media usage in fear of abuse and/or privacy issues. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next few years - I agree that these technologies will be changing in the near future so stay 'tuned'! :)

    Good to see you try a Prezi! You should embed it rather than just linking it, however. Look for the Embed button right underneath the presentation and then follow the directions for embedding in your Canvas announcements (early September).
